Yellow-footed Rock Wallaby
In recent times, this species was endangered, reaching very low numbers in the wild. They were hunted vigorously for their pelts by early European colonists and subsequent farmers. Thanks to the work of many, it is now on the bounce back and growing again, in a largely predator-free environment. It is the most lovely macropod to see in the wild.
It took me three trips to the Flinders Ranges to finally have the time and opportunity to capture a shot of one in the wild.
